Construction of Ram Jhula Pedestrian Bridge (Balaji Kot to Ganesh Wadi)

On 2 December 2025, the Nashik Municipal Corporation successfully listed its Clean Godavari Municipal Bonds on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), raising ₹200 crore (₹100 crore base issue + ₹100 crore green shoe option). The issuance was oversubscribed 3.95x, demonstrating strong investor confidence. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior officials from NSE and NMC were present for the listing. According to the official release, the funds will be utilized for: Construction of the Ram Jhula pedestrian bridge Upgrading the Kalaram Mandir precinct Wastewater and sewer management to prevent pollution of the Godavari Pilgrim amenities and riverfront improvements for Kumbh Mela 2027 Additionally, NMC will receive a ₹26 crore incentive grant from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs due to the successful bond issuance.
