Approval and Execution of Nashik Ring Road

In June 2025, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis publicly stated that the Nashik Ring Road project had been approved. The project aims to build a 66.15 km ring road to reduce congestion and improve regional connectivity. Following this announcement, the Government of Maharashtra issued an official GR on 21 November 2025 approving land acquisition and project execution through MSIDC. Further progress will involve MoRTH approval for civil works and subsequent tendering. Initial project scope referenced a 66.15 km corridor, which has since been reported to be revised and expanded during subsequent planning stages.
